Elizabeth Bonefas, M.D., F.A.C.S. has been in private practice since 1989 and is experienced in many types of treatments for diseases of the breast including in-office breast ultrasounds, image-guided biopsies (aspirations, needle core), vacuum-assisted biopsies, balloon and brachytherapy radiation devices, cryoablation and all types of mastectomies including skin sparing techniques for reconstruction. 

Dr. Bonefas is also one of a few women surgeons in the area certified in many of the newer breast biopsy procedures, which are minimally invasive and cause little discomfort for the patient. 

Dr. Bonefas also offers different types of genetic testing for future breast and ovarian cancer.
